We celebrated our anniversary here tonight and everything was incredible! From the rose petals on tbe table to complementary champagne, we felt special from the moment we sat down. The triple berry lemon drop may be the best drink I have ever tasted, and both entrees we ordered were incredible. We are already planning our next meal here! 10/10

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I was greeted with a warm smile and seated immediately. I requested a corner seat, and they accommodated my request perfectly. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, with a lovely ambiance that makes you want to linger. The service was impeccable—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was absolutely excellent! The wine was delicious, and the cappuccino and cheesecake were the perfect way to end the meal. While it’s a bit on the pricey side, it was worth every penny for the quality and experience. I cannot wait to come back to this amazing spot on my next vacation. Highly recommend! Merci, Nicole 😁

I love this place! What a Gem of a restaurant in Newport News! I went with my family. We had a time crunch to get to a play, and Katie our server was great! She was Professional, accommodating, and served us great food in a timely manner so that we could make it to the theater in time. The Food was excellent! The chefs did a great job! I had the seafood pasta. A dish that is creamy, fresh, and delicious. All the other food was also very good. We are definitely coming back to take it all in when my family and I are not rushing to another engagement. I definitely recommend going to this place.

As a server since 2021 (4yrs) I will be returning. The cusine, service, presentation, atmosphere was incredible & phenomenal. My server was, Corey. Very attentive, personable, knowledgeable, meticulous. I drove to Newport News from Charlottesville Va. approximately over 2hrs, for a late birthday dinner ( he acknowledged the special occasion and even brought me a free dessert on the house ) The food for my table was coursed beautifully, silverware was removed and preset for all of my next course, I never had to ask for refills, empty glassware was removed from the table, before receiving my next cocktail. Perception is half of reality, and judging by service, I will be returning, and recommending this to all of my friends. Thanks Cory!!!!! I’ll specifically request you when I return

Everything was delicious. The presentation matched the flavor. Every dish had their own spin to them. BLT is pork belly not just bacon, the shrimp and pork belly grits also have pimento cheese. The fish Sammy was as thr kids say bussin Highly recommend for date night or if you want a next level meal. #yumcity

We love coming here for Tapas Tuesday - dinner w/wine pairings for $30! Absolutely incredible value - the dishes are always inventive and fresh, the wines a thoughtful complement. This week was grilled scallop mousse, something I've never heard of but it was oh-so-tasty, and the risotto was creamy deliciousness. The pastitsio was Fin's take on the classic Greek comfort food, an upscale version of macaroni and cheese. Dessert was its usual incredible self - this week was flourless chocolate cake with crème Anglaise and vanilla ice cream - oh, so rich and unctuous! Service is relaxed and friendly, no rushing you out to increase table turnover here. It's a lovely way to spend a Tuesday evening and spoil yourself with good conversation and a happy tummy! Definitely make reservations as Tapas Tuesday seats have a tendency to fill up quickly. And be on the lookout for their special event meals, with either wine or cocktails featuring a particular, usually local vineyard/distillery to complement the dishes. (Best to get on the email list) Highly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fin Seagood with a group of friends, and it was an absolute standout experience from start to finish. This place nails that perfect balance of upscale yet welcoming seafood-focused dining with a menu that feels both creative and comforting. We kicked things off with the Grilled Romaine—three of us ordered it, and it was a unanimous hit. Perfectly charred with just the right amount of smokiness, crisp edges, and a bright, flavorful dressing that elevated the whole salad. It was a fantastic way to wake up the palate and set the tone for the meal. For the mains, three of us went all-in on the Beast Burger, mine had the cheddar and fried egg and let me tell you—it was nothing short of incredible. The blend of different meats in that single patty created this symphony of flavors and textures that was downright addictive. Juicy, rich, and expertly seasoned, it’s easily one of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere. The quality and thought that went into it really shines through. Another member of our table ordered the Seafood Platter, and it was a beautiful showcase of fresh catches—generous portions, perfectly prepared, and packed with that pristine ocean flavor. The final savory dish at our table was the Seared Scallops, which were cooked to absolute perfection: golden, buttery, and tender with a beautiful crust. Every single plate left us impressed and satisfied. To cap off an already fantastic meal, two of our friends indulged in dessert. One went with the Pistachio Ice Cream, which was rich, creamy, and full of authentic nutty flavor, while the other chose the Crème Brûlée—a flawless rendition with that signature crackly caramelized top and silky custard underneath. Both were excellent closers. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, the atmosphere lively but not overwhelming, and the overall execution made us feel like we’d discovered a hidden gem in Newport News. Went to Fin with a party of 4. Their reservation system was through OpenTable and worked perfectly they had our table ready exactly on time. The dining area was intimate with an open kitchen area and the wait staff was very attentive. The food arrived fast and fresh. Starters were the charcuterie plate, shrimp, and the tuna tartare. The Sriracha ice cream on the tuna was unique but I enjoyed it as a whole. I ordered the scallops, which were perfectly cooked. All the entrees were excellent and exactly what you'd expect for the price. The cheesecake for dessert was simple but excellent. Very quiet atmosphere made conversation easy. Highly recommend!
